Big Country Bash announces 4 acts, completes this summer’s lineup
Country fans have reason to celebrate early this week — the Big Country Bash lineup is now complete.
Organizers unveiled Phil Vassar, Raelynn, Tucker Beathard (brother to former Hawkeyes star C.J.) and former Northern Iowa football player Justin Adams will round out this year’s bill.
The four acts join headliners Brett Eldredge, Kane Brown and Dan + Shay for the two-night festival.
The Bash — which launched in 2006, only to be canceled in 2011 and resurrected last year — heads to the Avenue of the Saints Amphitheater on June 22 and 23 for the first time in festival history.

William Shatner signs with country music record label
Captain Kirk is getting into the country music business.
William Shatner signed with Heartland Records Nashville and “is currently working on a very special project that will be released later this year,” according to a press release.
Few details are known about the 86-year-old “Star Trek” actor’s new venture but the Heartland Records promised more details “will be released soon.”
This isn’t the first musical project to come from the actor. He has released eight previous albums, most recently 2013’s “Ponder the Mystery.”
Shatner also has a close relationship with country music star Brad Paisley and has made cameos in several of his music videos including “Celebrity” and “Online.”
country music stars to take the stage this summer at California Mid-State Fair
The California Mid-State Fair on Friday announced some of the acts scheduled to perform at this summer’s fair and they include some big stars in the world of country music.
On Wednesday, July 18, Florida Georgia Line will perform in the Chumash Grandstand Arena. The concert is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets range in price from $51-$131 and go on sale on Friday, Feb. 9.
Florida Georgia Line are best known for their hits “H.O.L.Y.,” “May We All,” and “God, Your Mama, and Me.”
On Saturday, July 21, Eric Church will take the stage. The Cadillac Three will open the show. The concert is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets range in price from $51-$131 and go on sale on Friday, Feb. 23.
Church’s current single, “Round Here Buzz,” is climbing the charts and he was nominated for a GRAMMY for “Record Year.” The Cadillac Three are well-known for their single, “Dang If We Didn’t.”
On Tuesday, July 24, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will perform. The concert is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets range in price from $51-$156 and go on sale on Friday, Feb. 16.
The superstar couple released their first joint album, The Rest of Our Life, in November and it debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. McGraw is well-known for his hits, “Live Like You Were Dying,” “Over and Over,” and “Humble and Kind.” Hill has found success with hits including “The Kiss,” “Breathe,” and “The Way You Love Me.”
On Thursday, July 26, Luke Bryan will take the grandstand stage. Special guest Jon Pardi will open the show. The concert is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets range in price from $51-$156 and go on sale on Friday, March 2.
Bryan is a two-time Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association Entertainer of the year and has had 19 #1 singles. Pardi is known for his hits “Head Over Boots” and “Dirt on My Boots.”
Tickets for all shows will be available on the Mid-State Fair website, by calling 1-800-909-FAIR, or at the fair box office located at 2198 Riverside Avenue in Paso Robles.
The 2018 California Mid-State Fair runs from July 18 to 29 at the Paso Robles Event Center.
Country music star Keith Urban announces new album and 2018 tour
Latest In Country Music – Keith Urban , A four time grammy winner announced his GRAFFITI U World Tour 2018. The tour will kick off June 15 in St. Louis and conclude in November. The tour includes a stop at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Aug. 24. as well as stops the Stagecoach Festival in Indio CA. April 28. and the Tortuga Music Festival in Fort Lauderdale, FL on April 7th. Urban will also be announcing more stops along the way.
